hail to our airline(s)!
So my sis is here, visiting from the US.
Her port of entry was Bali, so I was honored to be her 1st host, before she catches a flight to Jakarta to meet the rest of the family.
Getting ticket was a no brainer task, taking her to the airport isn't either. But as Murphy's law came to realize, the unexpected happen. I lent her a spare celly, but I failed to get her local number, figured it's easier for her to get a Jakarta number since she'll be there longer.
Then on that fateful flight, the weather was unbelievably bad, her flight was rerouted. For a couple of hours we couldn't get confirmation whether it was rerouted to Surabaya, Palembang or even back to Bali. I called all numbers that's available for the airline (LION), even the hotline number, but most of the numbers were unanswered, the ones that answered couldn't give any answer. So much for hotline!
I was worried sick all afternoon, frustrated too. I decided if this calling isn't going to work the only left is just go to the airport and get the news there. Luckily when I was only half way, my dad finally informed sis has just landed and on the way home. Thank God!
Well, I'm relieved, but still p**sed with the fact that the airline, which is in the serving business can't serve the tiniest request. Total crap. Guess the only thing we can do is to make sure your phone works! (If the signal is not troubled by bad weather either).
